FCMS National Junior Honor Society chose to donate items to the Little Free Pantry for their spring community service project. Malori Kuker, seventh grade member, also chose to create hygiene bags for her individual community service project. Malori wrote letters to local stores, hotels, and dentists, asking for donations. She said, “I came up with the idea by thinking about the little pantry and how it is filled with food and thought about people's health and if they had the things they need like shampoo and deodorant. I then thought of businesses that could donate and wrote them letters.”
After she collected items, she put together 15 hygiene bags. “I learned how I could make a difference in this community and to not be afraid to help those in need.”
Thank you to these businesses who assisted with her project: Dollar Fresh, Kobza Dental, and Vision-Inn, and NJHS students who helped stock the pantry!
