The top students at Falls City Middle School based on test scores and grades recently took the National Scholastic Challenge test. The test is designed for 8th grade students. Roughly 9000 students around the country took part in the challenge this year.
Falls City Middle School nominated the 29 highest scoring students in grades 6, 7 and 8 to take the test. Regardless of grade level they all took the 8th grade level test. Of the 29 students who participated, 17 FCMS students scored above the national average. Certificates will be awarded to the 17 students who beat the national average at the Promotion and Awards ceremony on May 16th.
We will also recognize the top 5 students at that time. The first-place winner on the Scholastic Challenge Test will be crowned the Falls City Middle School Student of the Year and will have their name placed on a new plaque that will be stationed at the entrance to our building.
Will an 8th grader win the prize or will a 7th or 6th grader grab the crown? Make sure to attend the May 16th Promotion and Awards Ceremony so see who our first annual Middle School Student of the Year will be for the 2021/2022 school year.
